Is the diagnostic assessment really free?
Yes, completely free. Every device that is dropped off or collected receives a thorough diagnostic assessment at no charge. You will receive a full itemised quote before any repair work begins. If you choose not to proceed, your device is returned to you at no cost.
How long will my repair take?
Turnaround time depends on the fault and the availability of the replacement part. Most common repairs — such as screen replacements, battery swaps, charging port fixes, and software restores — are typically completed within a few hours or within a couple of days. More complex repairs, or those requiring parts sourced from overseas, may take several days. We always give you a realistic estimate upfront, and you can track your repair in real time through the NexaTech repair tracking app.
How do I book a repair?
You can book your repair online at nexatech.co.ke/app in under two minutes. Select your device type, describe the fault, and choose whether to drop your device off at our Nairobi service centre on Moi Avenue, or have us collect it from your location. You will immediately receive a booking confirmation with a unique repair tracking ID.
Do you offer device collection and delivery within Nairobi?
Yes. We offer device collection from and delivery to locations across Nairobi for a small logistics fee. When booking your repair, simply select the collection option and provide your address. Our team will coordinate a convenient pick-up time directly with you.
How does the real-time repair tracking work?
Once your repair is booked, you receive a unique repair ID. Use it at any time on the NexaTech repair tracking portal to see the live status of your device — from initial receipt and diagnostics, through active repair and quality check, to ready for collection or delivery. SMS notifications are also sent at each major milestone.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
Yes. Every completed repair at NexaTech is backed by a 90-day service warranty. If the same fault recurs within that period, we will fix it again at no additional cost. This warranty covers defects in parts or workmanship related to the specific repair carried out.
Will my data be safe during the repair?
Your privacy and data security are taken seriously. Our technicians are trained never to access personal data unnecessarily. For software repairs that require a factory reset, we will always notify you in advance and give you the opportunity to back up your data before any work begins.
What if my device cannot be repaired?
If our technicians determine that a device is beyond economical repair, we will inform you honestly — with no charge for the diagnostic assessment. We will also advise on your best next steps, whether that is sourcing a replacement through the NexaTech shop or exploring a parts-only data recovery option.
Will a third-party repair void my manufacturer warranty?
Third-party repairs can sometimes affect a manufacturer’s warranty depending on the brand and the nature of the repair. We will always advise you on this before proceeding. For devices still within a manufacturer’s warranty period, we may recommend using the official service channel if that is in your best interest.
Do you use genuine or original spare parts?
We use OEM-grade or original manufacturer parts wherever they are available. Every replacement component is tested before installation and again after the repair is complete. Where original parts are unavailable, we use high-quality compatible alternatives and will clearly state this in your quote.

As a general guide, screen replacements for popular smartphones start from Ksh 2,500. Laptop repairs vary more widely depending on the component. There are no hidden charges — the quoted price is what you pay.
What payment methods does NexaTech accept?
NexaTech accepts M-Pesa, cash, credit and debit cards, and bank transfers. Payment is typically collected upon completion of the repair, after you have approved the quote and are satisfied with the work.
Do I pay anything if my device cannot be fixed?
No. If we are unable to repair your device, there is no charge for the diagnostic assessment and your device is returned to you free of charge. This is our no-fix, no-fee commitment.
Will the final repair cost ever change from the quoted price?
In rare cases, additional faults may be discovered during the repair process that were not visible during the initial diagnostic. If this happens, we will contact you immediately with an updated quote before proceeding. No additional work is ever carried out without your explicit approval.
Are prices on the NexaTech shop VAT inclusive?
Yes. All product prices displayed on the NexaTech online shop are VAT inclusive. The price you see is the price you pay — there are no additional taxes added at checkout.
